Although great progress has been made in the name of human - TopicsExpress

Although great progress has been made in the name of human betterment, it cannot be emphasized enough that we are nowhere near the attainment of an ecumenical civilization that is based on the egalitarian empowerment of every man, woman, and child on the planet. Asinine cultural practices are not merely confined to primitive societies; on the whole, modern societies that are overzealously ridden with institutionalism are just as asinine in the sense that the individual is not allowed to flourish to their greatest degree of potential without the blessing of one or more institutions. Based on this perception, we can argue that traditional conceptions of slavery have been drastically reduced all over world to date. Human beings are no longer openly traded in ocean going vessels while being lined up on decks as they are locked in chains, but perhaps slavery has taken a new dimension that is uniquely fashionable to the twenty-first century? People who think they are otherwise among the emancipated are actually enslaved beneath the gulag of institutional control. The reality of this realm has no barbed wire fences, walls, bars, or watch towers, but materializes in the reality of the world itself. The manipulation and suppression of intellectual individuality is the very antithesis to that ecumenical egalitarian civilization; as long as the institution maintains the final say, then the individual will be enslaved to it’s agenda, interests, and parameters of intellectual control.
