Although it is the first time Ive heard of this theory coined Conscious Uncoupling, Ive always believed in it. As a young girl, Ive always thought my life would have many life partners and teachers. I saw my parents do this in the 70s- consciously uncouple (or whatever they called it back then). Ive seen other friends and family split consciously (and for the better). It is when we refuse to face the resistance of evolving and changing for our well-being that makes for a negative divorce or split. It just doesnt have to happen. Is there any grace in a knock down drag out divorce? If so, I havent seen it. Whatever relationship experience Ive had, Ive faced it with the best possible realization that it could end. That TODAY if we chose to be loving, in love and of love, then we do. We chose each other every day, every morning! If not, we dont. Death do us part. Yes, and death can be while you are awake and miserable. Slow and Invisible to others. And yet, with the possibility of a full life experienced giving of yourself to others, your kids, environment, Gods goodness, a new relationship that nurtures your spirit…so many ways to be light in the world! I know some may not agree with me. Im just happy to be happy within knowing that Im capable of being the best human being having the most phenomenal, spiritual experience I can consciously. Coupled or not. Ive enjoyed both. goop/journal/be/conscious-uncoupling
