Although it was windy and the visibility was poor, I had a great, exciting fishing session today. Firstly, I lost a surface popper to something with a lot of splashing. Im unsure what it was. So I re-rigged and waded out to one of my favourite flathead spots. Within 20 minutes I had two in the bag, one around 35cm and the other close to a whopping 50cm. After I caught the bigger one I left as I had enough fish for the day. Were actually having to freeze the fillets because my catching is outstripping our eating! So we have plenty of fish! The flatties just love my Rapala UL-4 lure. Cant keep away from it! Ill post some photos shortly, including the lure thats bringing them all undone.
