Although the German Time Attack Masters are coming over, there is only two competitors competing in the Extreme Class with a car that left a German factory. No they are not a German teams, but Dutchs teams. One of them is the Audi S2 Time Attack Team, with indeed an Audi S2. The team started to compete with us in the Semi Pro Street Class some years ago and climbed up through the years to the Extreme Class. After a lot of changes they had to use the 2014 season to develop the technique of the car. In August the team crossed the channel to compete in the UK Time Attack Championship at the track of Cadwell Park. After the first two sessions all issues seemed to be solved and a good result was in reach, but then in the qualification the turbo blew up. Nevertheless they returned home with a 7th lap time overall, so there must be some potential in the car. This evening we got the message the car is alive and kicking fitted with a new more modern turbo. and their driver Evert Thomas can’t wait to hit the track again! Want to see if our Dutch competitor can keep up with the Time Attack Monsters from the UK, Germany and Zwitzerland, make sure you be there the 5th of October, TT-Circuit Assen, Eurofinals at the Syntix Speedmasters.
