Although this technology will have a major impact on how we look at renewable energy, it merely scratches the surface of the technological potential we could achieve in a Resource Based Economy. If this is possible within the constraints of a monetary system, imagine the heights we could achieve without the limitations of the monetary system, and with a co-operative rather than competitive incentive system. The ability to achieve a world which only relies on cheaper (if not free) renewable energy has been around for decades. We could have stopped almost all of our man made contributions to climate change long ago, however in the current system renewable clean energy is not profitable and therefore is not prefered by those who oversee energy production.
