Alvin Andile Ziyambi, a 23 year old student at Rhodes University - TopicsExpress

Alvin Andile Ziyambi, a 23 year old student at Rhodes University and also a brother and friend to many, was involved in a fire accident on Tuesday the 5th of November 2013. This happened at his flat by the Greens in Grahamstown, South Africa. He suffered some really serious burn wounds and is currently admitted into the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at St Georges Hospital in Port Elizabeth. His condition requires serious medical attention and monitoring. His kidneys got damaged as a result of the accident and are not functioning at the moment, hence they have put him on a dialysis machine which will serve the purpose of his kidneys while he trys to recover. This however, is costing a lot of money and without this machine he could probably not make it. The money required by the hospital to keep him on it is too expensive and it will be a mammoth task to raise given his condition and time constraint. The hospital needs R50,000.00 deposit and when that runs out, they will require R11,000.00 each day that he is on the machine. Alvin is a young, funny and really strong guy, has a warm loving heart and he is a fighter, we are praying and hoping he pulls through. He is a Final year student studying Information Systems and Economics towards a Bachelors Degree in Commerce. With your help, his chances of living a normal and fulfilled life can increase significantly. It is because of this that we are reaching out to you guys to help support him and his family with any financial assistance that you can. However little you have and feel you want to contribute, it would go a long way in helping him recover from this tragic situation. We can all work together for a great cause.
