Always happy when my horse goes well. Thanks to Jackie Stickwood, we have a few more things to practise in our growing repertoire. So nice to have my Dave in the corner too. Altogether peaceful and companionable afternoon at CHS with Melissa Marie, Dave and the critters, including barn cats Tigger and Midnight, and punctuated by the homecomings of top show girls Marie Lu Fulcher and Lindsay Hickey and the good news from Greg Reeves about his success with his lovely mare. James Garner died today and the situation in Gaza and the downing of the Malaysian passenger plane are ongoing horrors, but just for a few hours the world could not intrude on the simple doings of animals and their people in the prettiest countryside there is.
