Always with you As the light weakens, and the shores of summer fall away savouring the warm twilight I think on all that we had seen Of the many worlds mine is the one hardest for me to face, but now I’ve chosen I will embrace its uncertainty For it I hold it tight, hold tight onto your memory and march forward, march away full with conviction and surety Then each moment unravels another fear I hold and I will journey another fear I hold and I will journey on knowing that through my constant thoughts you’ll be always with Though it’s challenging to not be taken off with the wind away from the well-known path I will lead myself this time instead dear in my heart lasting the life I intend to live always whole-heartedly Though I know this parting we find hard and worry at heart, we need not grieve always if we fail to cross paths again Yes, those bright flowers you gave me have long wilted all away but you know those passing things never proof of our feelings All those numerous times I would follow you up along the riverbanks when the days of summer seemed to stretch off eternally They have passed against our expectation but we will bear out this long distance for with a name and no more, each will still have quite enough Still it’s lingering a feeling I don’t want to let go, but I’ve learned not to let concern halt my facing new horizons Even if I must confront how to grow up now on my own, I have long had all I need a memory and strength and I will reach out and share it for I will be always with you
