Am I the only one who is neither offended by nor obsessed with sports? Seems like too many of my friends on here are either a) totally hostile towards talking about or watching sports, threatening to unfriend anyone who mentions the game or the team; b) at the game themselves, sucking beer from one of those hardhat-straw things and chanting the team chants; c) watching from home or from some bar somewhere, offering their astute opinions on what the coaches and players should be doing. Dudes. Ive been known to do c) from time to time (especially when its World Cup time), but come on. Its just a game. Its not that important either way. I can be a fan (of say, the Detroit Tigers—go Tigers!) without being a douche, OR obsessively watching every game and painting my face with navy blue and orange (or scarlet and grey, or whatever the case may be). I can also enjoy watching part of the game at a Mark Pis Chinese take-out and then go to a dance party without a trace of self-conflict, or the urge to overturn trash bins. In other words, some of yall are wayyyy too into it, or wayyyyy too high up on your horse about NOT being into it. Both of yall need to chill and have some chips and margaritas or something.
