Am I the only one who sees the irony in the fact that our country - TopicsExpress

Am I the only one who sees the irony in the fact that our country has a weight/health "epidemic" yet has hot dog eating contests where it is rewarded when a man eats 69 hot dogs in ten minutes? When there are hungry kids all across the country - all around the world, children who are lucky to get even 1 meal a day, especially in the summer when they are not in school to receive a meal, why do we have events like these?
