Am I the only person who thinks the ALS ice bucket challenge is ridiculous? The only reason its a phenomenon is that it caught on among celebrities. Donating to a cause should have profound meaning. It should be something you truly care about, something personal, something you will support for the long haul. It isnt about stunts. It isnt a one-time thing. It isnt meant to be funny. Therere so many other organizations out there helping millions of people and animals who suffer from much commoner illnesses and horrifying cruelties, and groups which support the arts. Therere also less fortunate people right there in your own neighbourhoods and countries. Help THEM. Make a REAL difference!
