Amacho-Wato School Learning Resources Project 2013 BestBridge aspires to support disadvantaged students to succeed in school by providing them with essential learning resources. Amacho-Wato School Learning Resources Project aims at improving education in Amacho-Wato village (Doyogna woreda, Kembata & Tembaro zone in southern Ethiopia). In preparation for 2012/13 school year, BestBridge in collaboration with Roots Ethiopia (rootsethiopia.org) and Ethiopian Canadian Kids (ethiocdnkids.wordpress) has set an ambitious goal to collect donations to purchase reference books, desks, chairs and bookshelves for under resourced Amacho-Wato School. Teachers can use this tools to meet the expectations for learning, enable students to remain in school, successfully pass their exams, and continue their high school studies. We believe this is an efficient and effective way to assist poor students struggling to pursue education in rural region of southern Ethiopia. We feel that providing these resources will enhance learning and teaching, increase students’ commitment to education, and make a positive impact on the community. It is our hope that global-mined citizens will see it in their hearts to make generous donations that allow us to deliver the much needed books before classes resume in September 2013. We encourage you to donate whatever amount you can; a single book average $15, the books drive in full $5,000, furniture in full $5,500 and the entire program including books and furniture is $10, 500.
