Amaechi is one man that is very blunt. He never pretends. Even recently Hon Dakuku Peterside confirmed the Governor is very sturborn which ever way you look at it. If he hates or dislikes you, he expresses it beyond measure. First in the History of Rivers State that a Chief Judge is retiring from active service and no government official was there to honour the event. Not even an official representation from the Government. Not even the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice who oversees the ministry attended the event. Amaechi would have given such marching order for all officials of his goverment to stay away from the event. Justice Iche Ndu has served the state meritorious as a judge especially as Chief judge of the state for 12 years and so does not deserve this treatment meted on him by Amaechi and co. Amaechi should have learnt to pretend at least for the first time and send a representative to honour the man. This is a man who has distinguished himself in his carrear as a judge. Amaechi is a Governor today yes, but what happens after today when he leaves office as Governor that is never a career. Showcasing this high level of hatred at the end to a Chief Judge who has served him both when he was a speaker and now that he is a governor is the least expectation from a chief executive officer of a state. Assuming his reason for staying away from the event was because he became sure that Nyesom Wike and PDP chairman in Rivers State Chief Felix Obuah would be at the event, is that enough to abandon his responsibility? Surreptiously he is abdicating his official functions and as he does this he should remember that nature abhors vacuum. Has Justice Ndu also became a victim of the political crises in Rivers state? what is the sin of this man? Amaechi owes Justice Iche Ndu an unreserved appology for this unjustified treatment and to explain to Rivers people the reason behind this action.
