Amanda, Mary, Mary, Lindsey DebI am very pleased to announce that Basil went to go and see his surgeon and the surgeon is very pleased with Basils progress. He said that he didnt have to be crate ridden or leashed any more. He stated that it looks like his elbow union is almost completely healed!!! He is still limping and not fully using it... it seems like it comes and goes for him. One day he will go light on it and the next day he will hold it up a lot... He is making us very happy!!! And now about Lilly!! We rescued her from SLR as well as Basil. She had a hernia and the vet at the time took care of the hernia during her spaying. In March she developed an infection on an internal suture. We took her to the vet and they kept trying things for her but it just kept getting worse. We had to take her in for surgery and they re-opened her up and scraped out all of the bacteria and infection. They sent it out for a culture test and it was some rare form that most antibiotics wont help. There was only one that would work for it... so after a few weeks of her having stitches and a cone on her head, we took her in to have the stitches removed and get checked up... They said she looks all healed and doing well!!! We finally (currently) have two relatively healthy minis!!!!
