Amazes me how people find an issue like speed humps in a neighborhood that they disagree with and the debate will go on for months, almost 3 months now, but a headline like this: City officials yesterday warned their bosses that a plan to spend an extra R1,1 bn on houses next year could increase rates by at least 5% over the normal increase and pile more pressure on ratepayers. Elicits absolutely no response from those same ratepayers, In case you did not get it, if this goes through your rates will increase almost 12% next year. Priorities guys....
