Amazing............. Twenty three years ago the Tis Hazari court in Delhi sentenced Congress MP Rashid Masood to four years imprisonment in the case of the Medical Admissions Scam. Despite his conviction, he has held several important positions including being an MP for the past 23 years. During these years he has been part of the Congress, the Janata Party, the Lokdal and the Samajwadi Party. In 2007 Samajwadi Party presented him as a candidate for the post of Vice-President of India! Had he won he would have been chairman of the Rajya Sabha and a possible candidate for the post of President of India! The Ex-Chief Minister of Bihar, Lalu Prasad Yadav was also convicted for his involvement in the ‘Fodder Scam’. The original FIR was registered in 1996 and the verdict came after seventeen years. How will a Parliament with members like Rashid Masood and Lalu Prasad Yadav pass strong anti-corruption laws? Is this the democracy our freedom fighters fought for? Let us join hands to "sweep" this system clean.
