Amazing love how can it be ... Because thats grace... See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. -1 John 3:1a Did you know the God that we serve in our theology as Christians is the only God in religious conversation that loves sinners? Every other image constructed in the imagination of humankind is of God loving and valuing us based on what we do. And many of these ideas that come from other religions have woven their way into Christianity. How many of us think, God will love me and accept me more when I overcome this great vice in my life? Or maybe, If I become a better person, Gods going to favor me or bless me or listen to my prayers more. How often do we, in Christianity, view our own relationships with God based on our own merit? Its almost impossible for us to understand that a three-time holy and perfect God actually loves us in our sin, our brokenness, our addictions, our hatred, our venom, our anger. Even then, God loves us, adores us, favors us, blesses us, and hears our prayers. Thats Christianity because thats grace. Dear Lord, you love me in my brokenness. You adore me, you bless me, and you hear my prayers. Your grace surrounds me and lifts me up. Amen. How does Gods grace for you in your imperfection lift your spirits? - By Pastor Bobby
