Ambassador Jacobson participated in the regional conference “Challenges in The Combat Organized Crime and Terrorism and Cooperation in South-East Europe” organized by the State Prosecution Office with the support of Kosovo President Atifete Jahjaga, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the U.S. Embassy in Kosovo. “Regional cooperation is the key to success in fighting crime and terrorism - Addressing threats requires dedication and cooperation and I want to assure everybody here that the United States takes the threats to the Balkans very seriously. We are committed to help. Some of you may have heard that the Attorney General of the United States, Eric Holder, has designated the Balkans as one of three regions in the world to receive additional law enforcement and prosecutorial resources for countering extremism and terrorism. I encourage each of you to take advantage of this opportunity. ” said Ambassador on her address to participants at the conference.
