America, even though not perfect, is supposed to be the land of the free and home of the brave. Rough times have torn this country further and further apart. Placing differences aside, we are composed of the same molecular make up, and that makes us human. Our political leaders and government officials need to realize that without our trust, they lose major support. I truly believe in the power of the people, and taking a stance for moral/ethical issues. Prejudices, unequal opportunities, police brutality, and a lack of high quality education are just small percentages of the overall growing social injustices. Violent acts upon violent acts only perpetuate the division of communities and demographical hatred. Although I dont stand behind catastrophic rioting, I do believe the time for equality and radical change is now. Just remember as you all spend time over the holidays enjoying your friends and family, that the neighbors next door seek those same daily desires.
