America has always been the beacon of hope for the entire world. The MAJORITY of the 63,000 REFUGEES, (women and children), are trying to find a SAFE HAVEN, hence this massive EXODUS, primarily from 4 Central American Countries, Guatemala, Honduras (the 2 worst of this group), El Salvador and Nicaragua. I find it ironic that the same people who have been and still are so quick to POLICE the world with our military in the name of democracy and/or freedom, are the very same who want something similar to the Demilitarized Zone between South and North Korea at our southern border. Having lived here in Panama since 2009, Im acutely aware of the problems in the Countries I mentioned because we see the same people flocking here to seek relief from those SAME Countries coming down to either Costa Rica or Panama, really the ONLY SAFE Central American Nations, save maybe Belize, which is extremely corrupt. So if the North American populace, which is comprised of Immigrants entirely, excluding the Native Indigenous Americans, whose ancestors LEGALLY entered a FOREIGN Country, North America, keep in mind two very different situations, Firstly, without the span of the Atlantic ocean separating Europe from the Americas, only God knows how many would LEGALLY immigrate. Secondly their immigration, in most cases was not under DURESS or an immediate threat of their lives and that of their children. Peace 2 ALL. ME. ;-)
