America today - as politicians agree to end the government shutdown and lift the limits of borrowing at the 23rd hour, the financial world must be giving a sigh of relief that another global economic crisis has been averted. It does not matter who you are and where you come from, the fact of the matter is were affected, one way or the other, by what the guys in Washington decide to do or not to do. In watching the drama unfold over the last 2 weeks, I couldnt help but compare the intransigence of right-wing politicians behind the government shutdown with those who oppose the shutdown of Guantanamo and the release of its innocent inmates.
