American Meg Reports: While Apollo and Grace were negotiating the terrifying M25 (and I find it so even in a car!), Lad joined Mae Mae (Canadian Pony) to find Dudleys hoof boot which he cast off somewhere between here and there on the over-the-mountain trail over the weekend. Lad was appalled to find that nearly ALL the trees had shed their leaves, and by hour three he finally located a small, innocent green branch to assuage his hunger. He didnt miss a step as he tried to sort out getting an entire branch into his mouth, although I nearly did, as I tried to photograph him. Lise took a short video though, a great improvement on my efforts. Just after this, we met two mountain bikers who had found the hoof boot and also insisted they had just seen Sasquatch... Once Lad and I parted pathways with Lise and Mae Mae he thought it a very good idea to trot and canter the miles home in a quickly darkening wood, telling me that a: he was fairly certain his dinner was being served and he would be late and b: he was a bit concerned that if we didnt make fast tracks we might be someone (or something) elses dinner enroute.
