Americans Living The Wine Dream Through Winemakers This morning my good friend (and winery owner) Rickey Trombetta Stancliff wrote we are hearing from our consumers is they want to get to know us and would rather purchase from us directly to be a part of the our story. They enjoy telling their friends about their experiences with us. So many Americans are far removed from producing ANYTHING...the popularity of Farmers Markets are more than simply that a segment of Americans want to eat better...they neither have the time, space, or money to be able to produce their own food...buying and eating food grown in the way they would like to makes them feel closer to the earth...I feel that computerization of our society in many industries are pulling people away from the earth...they WANT to be closer..they are living that through your winery....they can see the grapes hanging ripe on the vines and know that part of that cluster could end up in their wine glass...you are opening the door for them to step through...and feel something that they can not feel in their normal everyday life! Many Americans have made this jump from other careers to become winemakers...and they understand these feelings...not long ago they felt it too.
