Amidst all the madness, I have seen hope. I have seen young people - TopicsExpress

Amidst all the madness, I have seen hope. I have seen young people who have spent months suffering varying degrees of existential crisis find a voice. I have seen the lost look in their eyes turn into fire. I have seen them fighting for what they believe in. Hokkolorob started quite a few days before the 17th of september. Back then it was just a bunch of young people fighting for what they believed in. They made up songs, they wrote slogans, they made funny music, they giggled when someone came up with a new funny song/ slogan. Even hours before their lives changed forever, they were singing songs like, O VC, baire esho, kamrabo na baire esho...... Then one mans pride and self assumption changed it all. Next morning there were scattered pieces to pick up, anger to control, rumours to spread like wildfire and chaos in general. Yet somehow the battered, beaten students stood up and with the support of hundreds of other students and redefined hope in exactly 14 hours after the incident. While pessimists firmly believe that we will fizzle out Id want to believe in the power of hope. I want to believe that people I love are fighting for a just cause and someday they will win. So tommorrow leave aside every other identity and just walk with us because youre human and you do not want your songs to be disrupted like ours. Tomorrow 2pm. Nandan. Shobar sathe dekha korar asha ta rakhchhi. #hokkolorob
