Amidst cries by health workers for protection from angry community people who still doubt the existence of the Ebola virus, the Ministry of National Defense yesterday deployed armed personals of the Arm Forces of Liberia (AFL) in Lofa County. They will be stationed in Voinjama and Foya districts respectively. Reports from Foya Care Center say, out of over 30 persons that were admitted from Berkedu alone since the outbreak, 9 have died and the others are responding to treatments while some maybe discharged from the hospital today. However, Voinjama remain calm but the greatest challenge is the Quadu Gboni district especially Berkedu town well there are still reports of people being infected with the virus. yesterday according to health workers, six persons were transported from Quadu Gboni (4 from Berkedu town and 2 from wormanor town) to Foya Care Center. Berkedu town, which is the biggest town in Quadu Gboni District and the Center of the outbreak in Quadu Gboni district, is located an hour drive from Voinjama City. And it is predominantly inhabited by Muslims from the Mandingos tribe. Meanwhile, many citizens of Lofa are calling on the government to quarantine Berkedu town right now if she is serious about defeating and eradicating this virus in Lofa. sorry I could not update you yesterday due to the failure of technology
