Amish Country Doctors there is a certain multi-millionaire televangelist who talks allotta SMACK (you see, I used a different ``S`` word) about free markets and `` pullin` yourself up by your own bootstraps``...but in my humble opinion, this guy has sold, perhaps, tens of millions of dollars worth of products and television advertising, over the last forty years, under the guise of his TAX-EXEMPT ministry, and by calling the purchases, ``LOVE OFFERINGS``...I`m no expert, but imagine any PUBLICLY-TRADED, SHAREHOLDER -OWNED corporation that we have accused of dodging taxes... and now maybe even think of law-abiding corporations that we like( maybe whole foods, Costco, interface(carpet), first solar, or the andersons)... now maybe think how slim the margins might be in , say, retail fair-trade coffee or fair-trade clothing... how renewable energy projects have been denied big bank financing, because the forecasted profits were slightly under bank expectations... how even[ slightly] higher dividends paid on shares of stock in ``socially-screened `` companies and socially-screened stock funds , might have changed wall street`s analysis to ``BUY``... now think of a multi-millionaire televangelist who has sold products `tax-free` for four decades, TALKING TRASH ABOUT cutting food stamps, RENEWABLE ENERGY AS A GOVERNMENT SCAM, and why only hippie-freaks would ever pay more for foods labled, ``ORGANIC``...
