Among those I have never eulogized on this day, mainly due to lack of knowledge, is the celluloid Silent Saint Norma Talmadge, whose immortality is being forgotten. The child of an unemployed drunk and a classic stage mom, Norma had two younger sisters, Natalie and Constance, both of whom also became actresses. The girls childhoods were marked by poverty.
