Amorite spirit Below begins a teaching about the giants that were in the land that God commanded Moses and the children of Israel to posses. God named seven nations that he commanded the children of Israel to utterly destroy, making no covenant with them and showing them no mercy. The land that God commands us to conquer today is our heart. These seven evil giants represent evil demon spirits that posses us and cause us to sin against God by obeying their commands (or thoughts that they give us that tell us to sin). As the Lord leads I will post the rest of the explanations about the other evil spirit giants. DEUT 7:1-2 1 When the LORD your God brings you into the land where you are entering to possess it, and clears away many nations before you, the Hittites and the Girgashites and the Amorites and the Canaanites and the Perizzites and the Hivites and the Jebusites, seven nations greater and stronger than you, 2 and when the LORD your God delivers them before you and you defeat them, then you shall utterly destroy them. You shall make no covenant with them and show no favor to them. Satans sword, like Gods sword, is words and thoughts. Satan is a giant that is master of using thoughts, emotions, and our minds as his sword that destroys us. Study Isaiah 55:7-9; Isaiah 54:17. Gods sword is His Word. Everyone that loves and trusts God also uses Gods Word as the sword that destroys Satan. It is our responsibility to control our mind and thoughts to destroy Satans mind and thoughts. Every giant is slain by THE SWORD WHICH IS GODS WORD. Ephesians 6:12-17; 2nd Corinthians 10:3-6. STOPPING AND DESTROYING THE AMORITE GIANTS The word Amorite means to say or to speak. Amorite is derived from a Hebrew root word meaning to speak, to speak against, or to boast self. All evil speaking is used by this demonic power. This giant or evil spirit specializes in convincing Gods children to use their mouth and tongue to speak evil or condemnation against all others in Gods family. All coarse jokes, slander, gossip, angry speech, lies, exaggerations, boasting and loud talking is the power behind this evil giant. This wicked spirit convinces us to use our tongue to condemn, to cruelly tease, to speak sarcastically, or to degrade one another. This giant is very subtle and deceptive in its activities. The Amorite spirit is so devious that most of us have yielded to it without being conscious of doing so. Many times this foul evil spirit even attacks and affects our prayer life with God. An example of this is found in Luke 18:9-14 concerning the man that prayed to God, expecting God to answer him based on his idea of his own righteousness. In his prayer to God, he condemned and criticized all others. He was praying in the Amorite spirit. Therefore there was no chance of this prayer ever being answered. All murmuring and complaining is the source of this strong wicked spirit. See Numbers 12:10. This is the evil spirit that caused Moses not to be permitted into the promised land. Moses began to boast in himself and Aaron -- Numbers 20:10. Must WE fetch you water from this rock. Moses got provoked and this spirit convinced Moses to speak stupidly. In doing so, he disobeyed God and was severely punished by God. The power behind this was the Amorite spirit. Psalms 106:33 Deut 32:48-52. The Amorite wicked spirit is the source of Christians judging and criticizing each other. This greatly grieves and displeases God. This evil is behind all swearing and blasphemy and blaming God for our woes. All grumbling and complaining is his fruit. > James 3:1-10 Ephesians 4:29-31 James 4:11-17 James 5:9 Matthew 7:1-5 Matthew 12:31-37 Psalms 98:4-6 Psalms:47:1 Proverbs 12:14,13 Proverbs 15:23 Proverbs 14:23-25,3 Proverbs 15:1-4,7-8 Proverbs 16:23-24,27-28 Proverbs 29:20 Proverbs 30:5-6 Proverbs 28:13 I John 1:9 Proverbs 26:27 Proverbs 27:1-2 Proverbs 27:14,21 Proverbs 28:9 Proverbs 26:3-7,20-28 Proverbs 24:24-26,28-29 Proverbs 25:8-15 Proverbs 24:1-2 Proverbs 18:1,6-8 Proverbs 15:14 Proverbs 17:4,7-10,27-28 Proverbs 18:21 Proverbs 19:1,5,9,22,28 Proverbs 20:3,22 Proverbs 22:10-12 Proverbs 22:17-21 Psalms 141:3,1-2 Proverbs 12:17-19,22,25
