Amy Jo Kaiser Blumberg, Im watching local halftime shows here with their little small bands, and they bring out this huge supply of immobile concussion instruments (i.e. non-marching) to enhance the sound, and I realize these folks have no clue about the band shows from whence we came. This is the oldest video I could find, 1975 I think from the Carlisle band on our field. The video is poor (dark) but the sound is pretty good for back then. This is why people from that region have brass. Please listen & comment.
