Amys update for today.. no, make that yesterday ~~ Im struggling a bit to write this post simply because it was a rough day for Courtney. We came to the hospital a little later than I would like and she was in her physical therapy when we got there. We struggle to leave her as it is and when we got there, she had already had two other sessions of therapy and was looking exhausted and disheveled. Her hair wasnt done and she had barely slept last night. That was hard to walk in to this morning. On the bright side, in pt they had her stand today by putting her arms around each therapist and they pulled her up. She stood tall and looked great. She fights hard through her therapy and just keeps on going. I think as she becomes more aware, she is starting to struggle with not being able to do a lot. Its that struggle that will keep her going and will make her work that much harder to get better. She was so tired and sore and was very anxious and antsy all day. Typically when she has a bad day like this, she follows it up with a good day of new things. We have the gauntlet tomorrow, so we are hoping that she can be out there and join in the fun!!! Theres always ups and downs and that is part of the process. Needless to say, I will stay with her tomorrow night and thankfully Aunt Patti is with her tonite.
