An Ancestor of mine Samual Parker owned I think the First Cycle shop in Long Eaton in the first years of the 20th Century. It was where Bon Marche is today. I would love to see a photo of it and just wondered if any member on here might have one they can post. Im also interested in finding out anything about my Great Grandfather Joseth Marshall who lived on Frier St and my Father once told me was in the L.E fireservice at the time when they used the Steam pump engine that was Pulled by horses. My father once told me he had seen a photo of himself as a baby placed on the engine. My father was born in 1922 which was the time the steam pump was decomissioned. I dont know how I could get any information about him and his time with the fire service, wether as auxillery or full time. Can anyone help with these two please.
