An Audio/Visual History of NJ Legislative Gun-Control If there is anything that speaks louder than words, it’s deeds and actions. Last year in 2013 during the public hearings at the Trenton Statehouse regarding the citizens right to ‘Redress their Government’ portion of our history, we witnessed a multitude of passionate, cogent and articulate arguments furthered by the good Citizens of NJ as to why MORE Gun Control laws should not be enacted. The state of NJ is now the SECOND most heavily regulated state in the Union behind California in a vise grip of gun restrictions. NJ does not recognize the individual RIGHTS under the Federal 2nd Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, as evidenced in the NJ State Constitution, even now after the landmark Heller v McDonald Decision by the Supreme Court of the U.S. in 2008. Filmed at the NJ State Legislature in Trenton, and available on their website njleg.state.nj.us/Default.asp , the following testimonials will enlighten all to the mode of operations in our good State. The Open Hearings at the NJ Senate gun control hearings were held prior to the passage of 23 new gun regulations, 2 of which were later vetoed by the Governor of NJ, Chris Christie. They were enacted into law in August 2013. We are now gearing up for another barrage of MORE than 70 NEW gun-control laws, amgoa.org/Proposed-New-Jersey-Gun-Laws and hearings that have already begun. Unfortunately, the audio is of poor quality and we sorely wish that closed captions or transcripts were available. Audio From April 30, 2013- Audio captured after a New Jersey Senate session ended possibly features several Democrats mocking gun owners and talking about gun confiscation, The hot-mic recording opens with what seems to be a female senator or staff member saying, We need a bill that is going to confiscate, confiscate, confiscate. Because of the low-quality of the audio, there is a possibility that she is saying something slightly different, however, the words confiscate are very clear.
