An Australian woman and her four-year-old daughter trapped in Egypt are appealing to the Australian government to help them leave the country. Amaal Finn says she was tricked by her husband into signing a form in arabic that bans her from leaving Cairo with their daughter. In an extraordinary twist, her husband Mazen Baioumy is now missing in Australia. His lawyer says while police search for him hes checking with the Egyptian government before signing over power to release Amaal and her daughter. Ms Finns father Graeme Finn has told Seven-Thirty the situation needs to be resolved. Its bizarre how this can happen and how it can be allowed to continue.
