An Autumn God The longest shadows ever made stretch outward black - TopicsExpress

An Autumn God The longest shadows ever made stretch outward black and thin, and beach sand in my shoes drop away like summer skin. The long and lonely winter soon to cut like hardened steel, holds this moment almost feminine in the warmth of how it feels. What words did I compose? What did I say, what did I do? Perhaps the lights in windows was what first attracted you. Magic lives within the haze from fragrant leaves on fire? Intoxicating memories of a life still now desired. Can something feel this perfect? Is peace of mind a tool? Does belief this season’s mystical just make me look a fool? My breath creates a ghostly image and in the darkness turns, Back lit by a raging fire lonely as it burns. Yet I felt my thoughts were spoken, though I made no sound at all, by what or who lies hidden in the mystic air of fall.
