An Evening With Michael Farris - THIS Saturday Michael Farris, Chancellor of Patrick Henry College and Chairman of the Home School Legal Defense Association, is spearheading the Convention Of States (COS) Project to end the tyranny of the federal government. Both a national and grassroots movement, the COS is gaining momentum everyday to end big government and run away spending. Please join Farris for an evening of conversation about how Americans can take back their country from an overreaching, corrupt federal government. The federal government has overreached its constitutionally-established boundaries and has its hands in almost every area of our lives. Our children and grandchildren will inherit a bankrupt nation run by an unaccountable bureaucracy. However, Farris has a solution as big as the problem. Article V allows us to call a Convention of States to restrict the power and jurisdiction of the federal government, effectively returning the citizens rightful power over the ruling elite. During Farris’s career as a constitutional appellate litigator, he has served as lead counsel in the United States Supreme Court, eight federal circuit courts, and the appellate courts of thirteen states. As a leader on Capitol Hill for over thirty years, he is widely respected for his leadership in the defense of homeschooling, religious freedom, and the preservation of American sovereignty. A prolific author, Farris has been recognized with numerous awards, including the Salvatori Prize for American Citizenship by the Heritage Foundation and as one of the “Top 100 Faces in Education for the 20th Century” by Education Week magazine. Together, state legislators and citizens can recover the checks and balances on federal power to protect our liberty from the abuses in Washington DC. Please join Farris to find out more, at this special event as described below.
