An Eye Opening Incident which happened with me today(9th Sept 2014) at midnight 12 am... I along with my two friends were coming from Tilak road back to our Flat after watching Ganpati Visarjan. And on way between Krishna Hospital and Shivtirth Hospital Kothrud, we saw a Man(age 40 aprox) lying on road, probably hit by aonther bike. He was not carrying Mobile Phone or wallet or any identity card. So UNKNOWN person.. He was Bleeding from his nose and not responding at all....! There were 20 people surrounding that man and just watching like spectators.! We tried to stop some autorikshaw so that we can take him to Krishna Hospital. But no1 stopped...! Finally my friend Caught a rikshaw. We somehow dragged the man into the rikshaw, asked sm1 to please come with us to the Hospital but NO ONE agreed..! So just we 3 took that man to KRISHNA Hospital and briefed the Dr. About the scene. Instead of doing any treatment, he asked for his relatives who can fill form and admit him..! When we requested them for some treatment atleast he agreed but then said that We dont have any empty ward. Plz take him to Sahyadri Hospital...! Meanwhile an Ambulance came(some1 from crowd had called it) with a lady Dr. She then convinced the Dr. In Krishna Hospital to atleast give some first aid to save his life... Then they gave some first aid, the man was not able to breath, so they fitted sort of a manual breath pumper on his mouth and then we Took that Man to SASOON Hospital in the Ambulance... We faced the same situation In Sasoon hospital too..! They check his bp and pulse and some other checkups... They concluded that Its a serious Case, his brain has stopped working, eye retina was not responding and it was hard to save his life...! He needed Ventilator, but all the ventilators were occupied.. So they asked us to wait till they can take some decision.. They said how can we attend an unknown Patient..! We need any Relative to do the formalities...! We said we will do the formalities.. u do the treatment first...! They asked us to get his OPD file made from a counter then they will attend him.! It took an hour to them to say this and another hour to get his so called FILE ready...! Till that time they were just asking questions and going.. No treatment YET...! We were pumping the Breath pumper. No nurse was ready to do that even..! That person was DYING on the stretcher...! We kept pleading but no response....! Finall the FILE got ready. They gave us some notes and told US to go and get his X-RAY , CT SCAN and SONOGRAPHY test done.. We asked for some assistance but they denied...! A dr said, He is going to die in 10 mins. No need to take trouble...! Now finally when we started literally Shouting and Fighting then a Dr and a peon came with us for the tests... The tests where done and the man was admitted to general ward... There the Nurse refused to attend him..! She asked us to pump the breath till morning as they dont have any FREE person to do that. Then they will check the reports of the Tests and decide what can be done...! When we conplained to the Main Person sitting there, he said you go,we will see now what to do...! From 12 am, it was now 4 am..! 4 hours and the guy didnt get any treatment...! We left the Hospital and came to Kothrud Police station. We explained them the entire thing. They thanked us and assured us that we will send sm1 there to look after him...! We came back home. And at 1 pm aprox we got a call from a Police Inspector saying The man is Dead...! The person died Just because he did not get any Treatment...! I have talked to The Inspectors in Kothrud Station and have decided to file an FIR against the Dr. Of SASOON hospital... BUT THE PERSON IS DEAD...! IS THIS OUR INCREDIBLE INDIA AND GREAT INDIANS...? We need to think....! Kaushik Jaiswal
