*An Immortal Feeling* Part 20 – Suddenly a thought struck me, “Drop her? How possibly can I drop her to her home? Doesn’t she know that I live at hostel and nor I don’t have a vehicle. Damnit Shiv, what were you confused about? Where is your mind?” I quickly texted her back saying, “I don’t have a vehicle dear and also no one is generous enough to lend me their vehicle. I am really sorry. :)” Shivangi and I were walking down the road, on our way back to college, without letting a word out of our throat. Soon, another message made its way to my phone. Ritika again. ‘Umm, it’s okay. Don’t be sorry. :) Umm.. Meet me at college gate. :P’ We were only a few meters away from the college. As soon as I read that message, I looked up and saw Ritika just outside the college gate with her face dug into the screen of her cell phone. “Shit, shit, shit..” That is what was going on inside my mind. Don’t know why but I wanted to hide myself before Ritika could see me as if she was my girlfriend and I was trying to cheat her. For the past some hours something was surely wrong with my brain, neurons in it were malfunctioning and were fluctuating my thoughts at an extreme pace. “Shiv,” Shivangi spoke up all of a sudden. I turned my face to acknowledge her but she wasn’t looking at me. We kept moving without a halt. “Do you really want to do what you said wanted to do?” I frowned. “What did I say?” “About helping those kids?” “Yes, I do want to and I am very much sure about it.” “Then I have an idea.” I stopped right there whereas Shivangi took a step further before noticing and doing what I already did and then looked back at me. Gentle bridge was playing with the locks of her hair, swinging them in front of her face. She didn’t care to control and strand them together. “How about starting a NGO?” She suggested. “Yes, I plan to do that in the future.” “I meant now, in a month or two.” “Now?!! Shivangi, it’s not an easy task at hand and as I already mentioned I need to set up my business first. That is where I am going to get my money from and I am not going to rely on someone’s donation to take forward my dream. I am going to rely on myself and myself only.” I tried explaining to her but she wasn’t ready to give up. With her expressionless face she kept coming at me. “I remember what you said but still we can do it.” “How possibly can we, Shivangi? I am still planning things, still trying to figure out the correct sequence of events. And the thing that I have told you is just a small segment of a much bigger plan.” “What plan?” she enquired. I said with a slight smile, “I will let you know about it some other day but for now, you need to know that I don’t have any business sense. I am just good at talking to and influencing people, nothing more that.” “May be, as of now, you need only that quality of yours,” Shivangi said with a hint of smile, something that was lost for a while. I frowned with confusion. “What do you mean? And what is it really? What is going on inside your head?” “Ever heard of the name Dhiraj Vaidya?” She took out her mobile from her handbag. I gave it a thought but nothing with reference to ‘Dhiraj Vaidya’ came up. “No. Who is he?” “He is an industrialist giant in Delhi and my uncle too.” “Ohh okay,” I exclaimed while recalling the fact that Shivangi’s surname is Vaidya only. “He can help, you just need to talk him.” She handed me over her phone. -Shiv
