An Open Letter To Pastor Tunde Bakare And All Nigerians; By Success Osinachi March 25, 2014 | Filed under: Metro | Posted by: Administrator Dear Pastor Tunde Bakare. Greetings to you sir and to all well meaning Nigerians. It’s my greatest pleasure to write to you at this very moment through the help of an online media and hope you and other Nigerians will read this letter I personally wrote on behalf of my very good friend and a brother. First, I’ll like to introduce myself; I am Mr Success Osinachi Mac-Anthony, from Ugwu/Nagbo LGA of Abia State. And am currently in Calabar where I graduated from Unical. Sir, I admire your zeal and passion for a better Nigeria which we all pray and hope for. Therefore, I am writing to you at this moment after I read in the news that you won’t collect any allowance as a delegate to the National Conference for reason(s) which I understand very well. And since you’ve vowed not to collect the allowance, I would like to suggest that you should take the money and help my very good friend and brother who has been bedridden for over 11 years due to Cervical Spinal Cord Injury. My friend (Chika A Chindah) from Port Harcourt in Rivers state, was full of life and strength in October 2002 as he joyfully prepared himself to start school at Unimaid where he got admission to study engineering. But his hope was cut short as tragedy struck 3 days before he’ll leave Port Harcourt for Maiduguri. He had an accident which affected his spinal cord and left him completely paralysed. He has been taken to several hospitals in Rivers, Abia and Enugu states but all they kept telling him was look for money for rehabilitation abroad. But raising the money became a problem because his parents couldn’t afford it. I personally visited the Rivers State secretariat in 2010 but unfortunately I couldn’t meet with the Health Commissioner. It pains me so much to see my childhood friend who was full of life and strength, lies on a bed for over 11 years because he couldn’t afford the medical bill to undergo rehabilitation abroad. There’s nothing else I can do for him but to use the social media to reach out to you sir, to reconsider your earlier decision and to take the allowance and come to the rescue of this young man. I am also pleading with all Nigerians who will come across this letter to join hands by contributing so that Chika can go for rehabilitation. I’ll be very happy if I see him get well and be able to do basic things for himself like using the toilet, bathing himself, feeding himself and be to walk around compound again. Sir, I must say that I don’t want anybody to give me money. All I want is that, if anyone is touched and wished to help him let the person contact me and I’ll send his address to the person who will visit him to make verification before releasing anything to him. May God Bless You Sir And Nigerians In General. Thanks Yours Success Osinachi Mac Anthony 07062751523
