An Open Letter to all of my Facebook family and friends: As most of you know, I am a cancer survivor (11 years and counting). During my brief stint with that disease, I became involved with the beginning of an amazing organization, Cancer Legal Line. I have been a board member, board chair and for the past four years, the Director of Legal Services. In my role at CALL, I have the honor and privilege to talk with, and hopefully provide help to, cancer patients, survivors and their loved ones every day. Sometimes they are just beginning their journey with the disease and they just need a little information to make it to the other side where they can resume their life, changed but hopeful. Just as often, I am talking to a client who knows their time here is coming to an end or to their loved one who is beginning the wrenching experience of saying goodbye to their husband, wife or child. As hard as that can be at times, I wouldnt trade this work for anything! I am asking you to help see that Cancer Legal Line is here for next year and many years to come. You can do that by attending our 2014 On Belay Gala or purchasing a raffle ticket.
