An UPDATE for any parents who will have kiddos that have be outside, waiting for school buses tomorrow morning: 1. Put a hat on it! Hats do a great job of keeping in warmth for the body, and they provide a bonus for keeping little ears snuggled against whipping winds. 2. Light, loose layers are key! The best way to stay warm is to keep the bodys core warm, and its actually easier to insulate heat by trapping air with multiple light layers. Then, of course, you need to put on the big puffy coat to top it all off! 3. Mittens are better than gloves! Mittens keep little fingers next to one another, so they can contribute to each others heat, and thus stay a bit warmer. Stay warm! -Rosie Newberry - KOMU 8 Weather
