An Update from Scottys Castle on the road construction between the Grapevine Ranger Station to the eastern Park Boundary: There continue to be 30 minute delays on Scottys Castle Road. It is unpaved from Grapevine to park boundary. Scottys Castle Road will be closed from just east of Scottys Castle to the park boundary from February 10 through April 10. Emergency vehicles will always be granted access. During that time, 30 minute delays will continue on the section from Scottys Castle to Grapevine. Mesquite Springs Campground Road (and the campground) will be closed sometime in February or March. Closure is likely to last 5 days. Campground hosts will be permitted to remain and access campground. All telephones and fax lines are still broken at Scottys Castle. Line got broken by construction work (again). Hopefully AT&T will come tomorrow and theyll be working by Thursday. Scottys Castle tours are 10:00 - 3:00.
