An absolutely amazing group today on stopping the chaos...in our heads. How does one overcome, heal from the trauma of mom pimping her out at the age of 10 for dope? How does one heal from watching her mom murdered in front of her at the age of 5? How do you recover from, as a kid, you had to help your mom "tie off" so she can shoot up?I have been working with offenders since 1983. I have learned a lot. The most important thing I have learned is that not everyone is innocent, not everyone is guilty but everyone has a story. I am honored when my clients feel safe enough to share their stories with me. Trauma and tragedies interrupt life and untreated, cause chaos in our heads and subsequently in our lives. I praise God for the all gifts He has equipped me with to do the work I do. Most of all I thank Him for my healing. Healing is a process, a journey and IT IS WORK.
