An amazing Tabla Guru day. I consider myself to have many fathers. Its amazing to me that yesterday, on my actual fathers birthday, I stumble upon this video of one of my Tabla fathers, Zakir Hussain, which Ive never seen (keep in mind I have been a Tabla UBER FANATIC for at least 20 years not (though not a player…that just for 1 significant year). To my wowness, the person accompanying him on the harmonium is my first Tabla Teacher…another father-like figure in my life. And there they are playing when they were quite young.
