An anonymous mum has asked a question (bear with us, its along one!). Would you have done the same thing? We are at the play centre that we always go to, and my son (just turned 3) has just come up to me saying that these twin boys (about 5 years old) have made him feel yucky in his tummy. He was visably upset. I asked him what happened. They showed me their doodles and told me to show them mine, but I have a nappy on. Im sorry Mummy. I feel so sick about this. I didnt see as he was at the top of the playground when it happened. I had seen him playing with them and thought they were just playing tag. I told him he was a good boy for telling Mummy about it and asked if they had touched him at all. He said no because of his nappy. I approached their mother sitting nearby and excused myself. I said I was very sorry and then asked my son if he could tell their Mummy what happened. He told her exactly what he told me. She went pale and called her boys over and asked them if they had shown this little boy their doodles. They said yes and that it was okay because he was wearing a nappy. She was so upset and apologised to me and said that they have never done it before. I said it wasnt okay and that he was pretty upset about it. She could see as he was in tears. She said that she was incredibly sorry and then apologised to my 3 year old. The boys apologised to him and she left immediately with them, saying that it was really inappropriate behaviour and disgusting to show anyone else their doodles, and wait til Dad hears about this. They started wailing at that. I want to leave the play centre but I dont want to punish my son. I feel like vomiting and feel really upset deep in my gut. Did I do the right thing in telling her? I feel like there is something else that I should have done about it.
