An attempted armed robbery occurred this evening in Mark Avenue, Northcliff Just before 20H00, Control received a phone call from one of our clients in Mark Avenue. Shots were being fired a few houses down from their premises. Three nearby units, as well as a Task Force unit, were dispatched to the scene immediately. Upon arrival a minute later and beginning their search for the source, our Officers were flagged down by a gardener a few houses away. The man claimed that the gunshots had come from another of our clients homes, at which he works. The suspects had fired a shot, after being disturbed in the act of gaining access to the premises, and fled the scene into Alberts Farm. Our Officers split up and combed the open area, but to no avail -the suspects had escaped. Fortunately, without anybody els property.
