Hello XXXXXXX, My name is XXXXXXXXXX, and I am currently in a situation that I am hoping you can help me with. I am currently the owner of two 9 year old English Bull Terrier/Rhodesian Ridgeback mix dogs. I have had them since 1 ½ months old. These boys are my kids. I love them to death. Unfortunately, as of July of 2014, I lost my job, home, mental stability and have become homeless. I currently am living with family and unable to keep my pets with me. They are currently staying with my brother, which has started to neglect them. Both were a healthy weight, now they are thin. They keep them locked in a room all day. Never taken out properly for walks or anything. They lay and sleep on a urine socked mattress and half the time also feces. I am able to provide them food. In fact they have lots of it, but the family is lazy and feeds them at their leisure. They live extremely far from my temporary place of residence, so I am unable to see them regularly. I am at this point disabled, so I am waiting for my benefits to come through. Time isn’t on my side in this matter. My dog(s) safety is at risk and it just pains me that they are being tortured. I need your help please. I just need guidance on what to do. I do not want to surrender my dogs, but if that what it means to get them out that Hell, then it’s what I have to do. My ultimate goal is to simply find someone to foster them until I can be settled and have proper living arrangements to take them back. They are both super sweet dogs. As I raised them, I always thought, wow these dogs are too good for me. They have always been by my side and I hate that I have to put them through this situation. I feel like I’m failing as parent. Once again, I am able to provide them with food. I’ll even go as far as providing volunteer work. Please! I have an extensive background with handling animals. My specialty was handling large breed dogs. I worked at Petsmart in their Hotel/Boarding division, so I have the knowledge and no how to care for animals. I just ask that you help me out, please!
