An example of the model agreement today that has increased confidence in a major winter storm impacting the Northeast. These are the latest runs for the ECMWF (Euro) and GFS (US) models for Tuesday morning. Many of the ensemble members on board as well. Arctic high pressure to the north of us supports snow as opposed to a mix or rain. While confidence in a storm is high, its important to remember that this event is still several days away and the exact tract and timing of storm intensification will play a large role in who gets how much snow.
