An excellent documenty-drama film on Radha Nath Sikder. Kudos to DD for such a insightful, substance & factual documentary film. He calculated the Mount Everest, we knew that but his "Young Bengal" movement with Rosario, Presidency College(Hindu School) days, Close relations with Dr Tytler, Sir George Everest, David H & Moqbool. Confrontation with his own Brahmin Community, Hindu Dharma Sabha, Supermacist Europeans, Captain Reynolds, Colonel Mullier, Capt. Thurier etc... Lot of unknown facets of the Man. He was amongst all the most briliant Mathematician and a pioneer of Indian Renaissance... His grandfather was first native Dy collector of India P. Rama Sikder. He was offered same post by British Crown but as his Guru Sir G. Everest asks Guru Dakshina not to leave Geological Survey of India along wih his bossom friend Col Andrew Scott. Days are same in North India, except the protagonists changed. He was known inside British Garrison Fort William as Royal Bengal Tiger ! He alone physically defeated 14 British soldiers.(y)
