An excerpt from a note sent by a group who provided an evening meal. “…The doors are locked at Helping Hands, and only those who have signed in and agree to follow the policies of the shelter can enter. The parking lot is open and well lit. The staff are very helpful and organized those awaiting our meal. We had been expecting to feel very uncomfortable. Perhaps even frightened. What we discovered, instead, was only polite people who were exceedingly grateful for this small gift of a meal.” 365 days a year meals are brought in by caring groups and individuals for those staying at Threshold, our shelter.
