An eyewitness account. Witnessed first hand the four skiers who skiied over the ice cliff at the Glacier, Turoa. Myself, Tara Collins and Mike Lowery had been skiing the Glacier all day. While taking a break in the valley on one run, we looked over to the ice cliffs, see photo, to see the skiers one by one slide over and fall. Tara called the ski patrol immediately and then we walked up to to the skiers who werent moving at all. 2 had suffered head injuries and 1 spinal. Ski patrol turned up in about 10 minutes and started to initiate rescue precedures. Ski patrol did an amazing job and finally got the injured skiers out by helicopter. Mike and Tara were a huge support to the process.
